SEND Administrator

Salary:   £24,977 – £26,886 (actual salary £21,998 – £23,680)
Employment Terms:   Full time, term time only
Hours:   Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 08:30-16:30; Wednesday 08:30-17:30 and Friday 08:30-15:30
Start Date:   May or June 2024

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEND Administrator at Undershaw Specialist School in Hindhead. We are looking for someone to support the Head of SEND and Deputy Head of Send in all administration associated with this role. You will support the smooth running of the Annual Review Process and develop SEND related admin processes across the school. Proven track record of Administration is essential, ideally within a school environment and be proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel. Attention to detail, organisational skills and good communication are a must for this role.

Skills required:

  • Excellent administration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
  • A great team player with a flexible “can-do” attitude
  • Understanding or an interest in Special Needs Education and Disabilities

Role:

Teacher of Geography

Salary:   MPS/UPS + SEN suitable for ECT
Employment Terms:   Full time
Start Date:   May half term of September 2024

 

Undershaw is a popular over-subscribed school and so owing to continued growth we are looking for a Teacher of Geography to join our existing team in Hindhead. Undershaw is a specialist setting where children from Year 3 to Post 16 with mild to moderate learning difficulties and additional needs, such as ASD, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, and medical vulnerabilities can access the national curriculum and qualification pathways in a safe, secure, and friendly environment.

 

We are looking for a Geography subject specialist and would welcome applications from Early Career Teachers.  You will have sufficient proven evidence of developing teaching practice and be able to demonstrate that you can balance academic expectations with the challenge of meeting the needs of SEND students. You will be passionate about making a difference and preparing students to be socially and economically engaged in the future.

Occupational Therapist – Band 5 or 6

Salary:   Therapy Scales £28,408 – £42,618
Employment Terms:   Full Time or Part Time, Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours:   Core onsite hours 08:30 – 16:30 Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. 08:30-17:30 on Wednesdays and 08:30-15:30 on Fridays.
Start Date:   Dependent on candidate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist (Band 5 or 6) with experience of working with SEND. You will use excellent clinical reasoning skills to make professional judgements and decisions based on assessment findings to support the work of the education and SEND teams.

Skills required:.

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy Degree qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with SEND
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
  • A great team player with a flexible “can-do” attitude
  • Understanding or an interest in Special Needs Education Needs and Disabilities.
