Role:

EHCP and Annual Review Manager

Salary:   MPS + TLR + SEN Point
Employment Terms:   Full Time, Permanent (6 month probationary period)
Start Date:   Spring Term

To lead on the EHCP and Annual Review process and to ensure strong and positive relationships with the SEND team at our Local Authorities. To work with the AHT SEND and Community to ensure provision and adjustments are incorporated into the curriculum and day-to-day school life. To play a key role in embedding integrated and multi-disciplinary working. To act as a senior member of staff, working in collaboration with members of the SLT on key areas of responsibility as outlined below. To support provision through advising teachers and through the delivery of intervention sessions for students.

Classroom Cover Supervisor

Salary:  £22,602 (actual salary £19,907 pro-rata term time only)
Hours:  08:30-4:30pm Mon, Tues & Thur. 08:30-5:30pm on Wed and 08:30-3:30pm Friday

Role:

Occupational Therapist

Salary:   Band 5 or 6 (dependent on experience)

Undershaw is looking for a full time or part time enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible therapist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding school-based therapy team, and to be part of the wider school community.  Prior experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential as training is available. Experience and training of sensory integration is preferable, or commitment to undertaking sensory integration training.

The role offered will include a variety of opportunities, including:

  • Administering a comprehensive selection of assessments tools (both standardised and non-standardised assessment measures)
  • Providing individual treatment and familial support/intervention
  • Providing 1:1 and group therapy to students on the caseload
  • Delivering integrated therapy through the school-wide tiered model

Essential skills:

  • Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Professional registration and fitness to practice
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an OT, ideally in paediatrics
  • Experience, knowledge, and a strong passion for working with children with SEN
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Strong communication skills
  • Current HCPC registration and an enhanced DBS certificate

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing difficulties, attachment difficulties.
  • Postgraduate training in Ayres’ Sensory Integration or ASI Wise
  • Completion of relevant specialist training
  • Experience working within the UK schooling system, including mainstream and special education settings.
  • Experience of relevant programmes, for example Zones of Regulation, Alert Programme, Speed Up!
  • Experience contributing to Education Health and Care Plans.
  • Experience of assessing and recommending specialist seating and postural adaptations
