We have a flexible approach to learning, personalising the curriculum and teaching groups to meet our students’ individual learning needs and abilities.
Undershaw supports pupils by providing them with the opportunity to learn and develop in a supportive and creative environment in which there is particular focus on recognising achievement and supporting progression.
In addition to the academic curriculum, bespoke timetables provide opportunities for pupils to blend their lesson time with our integrated therapy sessions, for example, Speech and Language Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
The curriculum is enriched by educational trips and visits, local community links and opportunities within the timetable to engage with new experiences e.g. music workshops, gardening and educational outings so students have a multitude of opportunities from which to glean achievements and build their self-confidence and independence.
