Our Campus
We are so fortunate to have some awe-inspiring spaces to call our own.
Our main campus is at Undershaw, a building built and cared for by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, notable author of Sherlock Holmes fame and historic figurehead of England’s literary history. Undershaw was the place where he wrote Hound of the Baskervilles. It is a wonderful building, beautiful and inspirational in design and an ideal balance of indoor spaces renovated to a high standard, and the beauty of the Surrey landscape outdoors.
Undershaw
is a base for all our students. Is has been renovated to a high standard for our use as a school and to accommodate our students and their needs. We have:
- Learning Dens (no classrooms here!) – our teaching spaces have a ‘home from home’ atmosphere, each one bespoke and available for the students to personalise and call their own.
- Extensive therapy spaces
- A fully equipped gymnasium
- Indoor therapy pool
- Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) – our all-weather sports surface
- Outdoor Learning Area / Forest School
Arts and Media Centre
(Tower Road campus)
is our original site, 200 metres from Undershaw. It has been refurbished as our tailored Arts and Music Centre. It is also:
- a base for our Post 16 students, housing a common area, kitchen and study space
- a working hub for our Employability and Life Skills faculty.
The AMC has a unique place within the community and strengthens our ties with local artists, photographers, arts groups, musicians and media companies who partner with us.
